Members’ Show Promises a Mix of Artistry and Whimsy

Each year the Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) highlights an exhibition featuring the work of 250 of its members. This year’s theme is based on fairy tales and their enduring legacy. The exhibition is open to any MOWA member no matter the age or medium. The 2017 MOWA Members’ Show will showcase all exhibition artwork in the State Gallery.

Exhibition Opening Party
Saturday, November 18 | 2:00–5:00

Live music, light snacks, and beverages will take you away—far, far away. We promise to have you home before you turn into a pumpkin.

Fairytale Studio Saturday
Saturday, November 18 | 11:00–5:00

Dress as your favorite fairy, witch, queen, troll, or goblin to this extended Studio Saturday. Children will read a new twist on a classic fairytale, Trust Me, Hansel and Gretel Are Sweet! The Story of Hansel and Gretel as Told by the Witch. The story will inspire artists of all ages to create a gingerbread masterpiece of their own.

Gallery Conversations with Gerit Grimm
Saturday, November 18 | 2:00–4:00

Join Wisconsin ceramist Gerit Grimm during the Members’ Show Opening Party for casual conversations in the Hyde Gallery.

Quick Facts
- Members’ Show has been open to all current MOWA members no matter age or medium since the new building in 2013.
- 2D and 3D works accepted: photography, painting, jewelry, mixed media, fiber, stoneware, ceramics, drawing, and more.
- Youngest artist is age 4 and eldest is age 88, respectively
