Become a Wisconsin Artist (Ages 6–11)
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, March 29, 30, 31 | 10:30–3:00

MOWA’s signature camp explores in-depth Wisconsin artists in the Collection. MOWA’s Director of Cultural Relations Miranda Levy will teach students about several renowned Wisconsin artists such as Gary Gresl, Fred Stonehouse, and Mary Nohl and the techniques they use to produce their art. Students will draw, paint, and build 3-D models to create their own masterpieces. Participants may attend one, two, or all three days of the spring break camp. 

March 29: Create a papier-mâché taxidermy wall mount inspired by the art of Gary Gresl

March 30: Learn about Fred Stonehouse and create a painting inspired by your dreams

March 31: Create a clay sculpture just like Mary Nohl 

Fee: $25 per day
A MOWA membership is required
Bring a bag lunch for a 30-minute break

Project Fashion Design (Ages 11–18)
Four different “seasons” in July and August | 10:30–3:00

Join Miranda Levy, Project Runway alumna, for Project Fashion Design! Using unconventional materials, fabric, and a lot of creativity, each participant will create a special, one-of-a-kind garment. Each session will begin with a challenge. Designers will have three class periods to sketch, drape, and sew a finished garment. Each class will end with a critique by special guest judges. The winner will be awarded the next season free of charge! 

Season 1 - July 26, 27, 28:  Avant-Garde
Season 2 - August 2, 3, 4:   Rock N’ Runway
Season 3 - August 9, 10, 11:  Waste Not, Want Not
Season 4 - August 16, 17, 18:  Wall to Wall (offsite at the Hilton Hotel in Milwaukee)

Multiple sessions may be purchased. Each session will be different and have a new challenge!

Fee: $100 per session
A MOWA membership is required
Bring a bag lunch for a 30-minute break
Materials are included, bring your own sewing scissors
