Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Museum of Wisconsin Art!

The Museum of Wisconsin Art invites you to enjoy An Evening of Wine & Roses on Saturday, February 13.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with International Wines, Beer & Cuisine

Cupid’s arrow hit the bull’s eye with the success of Museum of Wisconsin Art’s Wine and Roses event on Saturday. This year marked the 14th annual celebration of the wine tasting with over eighty wines and a dozen beers presented for tasting. Guests attended from Greenfield, Oconomowoc, Grafton and Richfield as well as great representation from the greater West Bend area.

A special thanks is extended to the Wine and Roses committee of Mike Schilling, Mo Josten, Barb Pfeifer Woog and Jeff Szukalski. The Business Journal Serving Greater Milwaukee sponsored the event for the second year in a row. Besides a delightful night of tasting wines and beer, guests were treated to a wonderful buffet of hearty appetizers from Bryan’s Catering. Each guest also received a program that included special offers from Café Souerette, Januli’s, Jeff’s Spirits on Main, Poplar Inn and Timmer’s.

In response to suggestions from last year’s guests, the Wine and Roses committee instituted new activities to keep the event fresh. These activities included a Cake Walk featuring One from Wisconsin artist Mindy Sue Meyers, a 50/50 raffle, expanded raffle items and the Marrs Bar. All these new activities plus a very robust live auction generated an increase in revenue over last year’s event which helps to support the Museum’s mission to collect, conserve, document and exhibit Wisconsin art.
