The Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council celebrates their centenary with MOWA in 2016. Dedicated to fostering and promoting excellence in fine crafts, a juried selection of WDCC members will showcase a variety of work in MOWA’s State Gallery.

From the whimsical teapot creations of John Whitney to the exquisite textiles of Barb Chappell, today’s members exemplify the mastery of technique and originality of design that the group was founded on 100 years ago.

The Wisconsin Designer Crafts Council (WDCC) is a statewide organization dedicated to fostering excellence in fine crafts and making them more significant in the cultural life of Wisconsin. Membership is open to all who share these interests.

The WDCC works to elevate the standards of design and craftsmanship among Wisconsin’s artisans and the crafts community. WDCC encourages individual expression, vitality and aesthetic growth opportunities for fellowship, acquisition of skills, and competitive exhibitions.
