University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Assistant Professor Derek Schaefer, Ph.D., will discuss German fairytales and their enduring legacy through the classic nineteenth-century works collected by the Brothers Grimm. Schaefer will explore their uses (and misuses) as vehicles of political and social expression.
