Pop-Up Emerging Artist-in-Residence Program in Luxembourg
The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) in partnership with Ansay Development Corporation (ADC) is pleased to announce that mixed media artist Chris Maddox has been selected for the emerging artist-in-residence program at Bourglinster Castle in Luxembourg. The residency begins January 15, 2018.
This program is sponsored by ADC and is supported by the Ministry of Culture in Luxembourg. Maddox is the second artist to participate in the residency program. The first was offered to photographer Lois Bielefield in 2015.
This two-month program includes:
- Round-trip travel from Wisconsin to Luxembourg City, Luxembourg
- Housing, travel, and a monthly stipend of 1,000 Euros
- A one-time stipend of 250 Euros to buy supplies
Maddox will work with other artists from around the world, and will have the opportunity to work and make connections in Europe. Read more about Maddox in the press release.
MOWA would like to thank Ansay Development Corporation (ADC) for their partnership in this program. ADC is a family-owned and operated real estate development company located in Port Washington, Wisconsin. ADC focuses on growing communities, partnerships, and relationships through real estate. Without their generous support and affiliations with the Ministry of Culture in Luxembourg, this program would not exist.
