1900-1913 Society of Milwaukee Artists was the first professional
association of artists in Wisconsin. The Society of Milwaukee Artists
renamed its organization in
1913 - 2008 to the WI Painters & Sculptors and later expanded their
name to the WI Painters & Sculptors / Artists in all Media and in
2008 its members voted to rename the organization the Wisconsin Visual
Artists.
