Biography

Elfie Rolke Farber 

Born 1889 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Milwaukee painter and sculptor Elfie Rolke Farber studied with Wisconsin artists George Adams Dietrich, Armin O. Hansen, Carl Holty, Walter Quirt and Peter C. Rotier. Her work was represented in the State Historical Society of Wisconsin’s, Works Progress Administration - Biographical Sketches of Wisconsin Artists and also the 1940 and 1941 Calendar Of Wisconsin Art sponsored by the Wisconsin Artists Federation, Inc.

Elfie was a member of the Wisconsin Painters & Sculptors. She was also on the publicity committee for the 22nd Annual Exhibition of Wisconsin Art sponsored by the Wisconsin Painters & Sculptors in 1935.
