Biographical Brief

Studied: Pratt Institute Art School, New York, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and in 1903, Academy Julian, Paris with Jean Paul Laurens.
Was commissioned by The Art Committee for the War to paint portraits at the battlefront during World War I and continued to do so through World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He is further noted for drawing or painting portraits of famous Americans involved in politics, entertainment and other fields.

He resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1955 until his death in 1965.
