Sheboygan, Wisconsin painter, lithographer, educator and lecturer.
Studied: Milwaukee State Teachers College with Carl Holty and Central Michigan College of Education
WPA (Works Progress Administration) artist selected for the Wisconsin Gimbel Centennial Collection and Traveling Exhibition. His painting that was exhibited in this exhibition was presented by Gimbels to the Milwaukee Veterans Memorial Gallery, 1955.
1940-1941, worked as Assistant Supervisor, Milwaukee Public Museum.
1941-1942, worked for the Wisconsin Visual Aids Program.
1943, Exhibits at the University of Chicago, Renaissance Society Show.
Abstetar is represented in the permanent collections of the Charles A. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts, Racine Wisconsin; State Historical Society of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin; and the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.
