Second Saturday is a lively monthly event that turns the entire museum into a destination for creative experiences. MOWA members can explore the museum, participate with drop-in art making, gallery activities, and more. Every month offers something new!

Second Saturday takes place the second Saturday of each month. Drop in anytime 10:00–2:00.

PARISIAN PALETTE | MAY 11
Artist Mark Mulhern creates large-scale paintings often inspired by his travels to France. Seek inspiration from the artist’s work as you layer paint on canvas, design a painted fashion tote bag, and assemble a sketchbook to document your summer adventures.

EYE SPY | JUNE 8
Artists carefully observe the world around them. Exercise your eyes and imagination as you experiment with observational figure drawing and other methods of making that will encourage you to look closer.

SUMMER CELEBRATION | JULY 13
Join us for an art party inspired by Mark Mulhern’s celebratory paintings. Enjoy art projects inspired by the parties, desserts, and fashion in Mark Mulhern: The Pleasure of Seeing. Enjoy a performance by family folk music group Fox and Branch at 11:00.
