Summer Camps

Learn how to make handmade paper with the founder of Wooden Deckle papermaking kits. Participants will learn how to make paper pulp, form paper sheets, and add floral embellishments. Each participant will take home their own handmade paper creations. All supplies included.

Discover connections between movement, art, and emotion in this expressive yoga and painting class. Felicita Holtzman owner of Blue Luna Yoga and Wellness will introduce poses, breathing techniques, and movement. At the end of class, the participants will visit the galleries and make an abstract painting inspired by John Colt’s Marquette Mural.

Are you curious about what it is like to be a street artist? In this class, Madison-based artist Liubov Szwako will teach you how to make your own street art-inspired masterpiece. Szwako, who paints under the name Triangulador adorns the streets of Madison with his distinctive symbol-laden style. By the end of class, participants will leave their mark on a collaborative piece and make their own Triangulador-inspired painting to take home.

Create your own outdoor masterpiece with award-winning chalk artist Kaylee Goodman. Artists ages 6-8 will learn essential chalking skills such as blending and color selection. Artists aged 9-12 will be introduced to an advanced grid drawing method. All supplies included. Each participant will take home their own set of chalk pastels.
