About the Exhibition

August 8–November 2

Horicon Bank Gallery

Milwaukee-based Tyanna Buie combines screen printing, collage, and painting on paper.

Her work is deeply personal and drawn from her challenging childhood experiences: art offers Buie an escape from the instability and impermanence of those days. In a re-creation of memory, she often depicts people and objects from her past. Buie feels her story is important to sustaining a connection to the outside world.
