The MOWA Teen Council empowers teens and amplifies their voice within the museum.
Council members provide input in teen programming, collaborate with artists, assist with the annual teen exhibition, expand their creative network, and gain exposure to museum careers.
The Teen Council meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, 4:00–6:00. Participants must be able to attend both meetings.

Goals of the
- Introduce teens to artists and art on view at MOWA
- Highlight diverse voices and interpretations through the visual arts
- Develop a network of peers and mentors
- Create an inclusive social space for teens to meet and interact
Applications for the 2022–2023 Teen Council term is now closed. Check back in May 2023 for details on the next application cycle.
In this day-long workshop, university professors counsel students on presentation skills, writing an artist statement, and offer students the opportunity to have their work reviewed by peers and professionals. Ideal for junior and senior high school art students applying to colleges and universities.
