In the exhibition, When One Door Closes: A Teen Perspective on Change, teen artists explore the possibilities that unfold when embracing change.
Organized by MOWA’s Teen Council, the annual exhibition invites young artists to consider contemporary issues and share their unique viewpoints. This year, students reflected on a shift away from the past and toward being the change they wish to see in the world. When One Door Closes encourages both teen artists and viewers to consider how stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead to positive change for a meaningful future.
This exhibition features artworks from 32 regional high schools. Art educators from each school selected one piece to represent their art program in relation to this year’s exhibition theme.
