Dona Look

Fiber artist Look is well known primarily for her birch bark baskets that simultaneously reference nature and call attention to the need to preserve the environment. Her work can be found in the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the American Craft Museum, among others. Look grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. It was during the four years she spent in Australia (1976 – 80) that she found her inspiration for fiber art.
