Even as a child, Butler drew everything, including comics. His early efforts came to the attention of comics author Mike Baron (Badger) and led to a career in illustration. Butler’s primary focus has been on the art for games such as Dungeons & Dragons for TSR of Lake Geneva. Today his work can be seen in games such as Soldier of Fortune and Star Trek: Elite Force. In addition to creating his art, Butler teaches cartooning at Madison College.
