Kevin J. Miyazaki

Photographer Miyazaki often uses portraiture as a vehicle through which to examine place. He explores migration and ethnicity including a specific focus on Japanese American internment during World War II. He has a BA in Graphic Design from Drake University (1990) and is adjunct faculty at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Grants include the Mary L. Nohl Fellowship and the Greater Milwaukee Foundation (2020). MOWA commissioned Miyazaki to participate in its Wisconsin Dells exhibition and book project (2019).
