Marguerite M. Grossenbach-Barnum

A painter of landscapes and flowers in oil and watercolor, Marguerite was a graduate of the Milwaukee University School and the Milwaukee Downer Seminary. Her art studies were pursued at the Milwaukee Downer College and the Layton School of Art, from which she graduated in 1922. Her studies were continued at the University of Wisconsin with Arthur Colt, Knute Heldner, George Oberteuffer, Frederick Fursman, and Albert Krehbiel. She was represented in many exhibitions including solo exhibitions at the Thurber Art Galleries in Chicago, the Milwaukee Art Institute, Wisconsin Painters and Sculptors, and International Watercolor shows at the Art Institute of Chicago.
