Rina Yoon

Kunsan, South Korea 1965

Yoon was born and raised in South Korea, but her art studies were in the United States, her home beginning at age seventeen. She earned her BFA in studio art at Southern Methodist University and her MFA in printmaking at Washington University. In 1999 she joined the faculty at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design where today she is a professor of art. In addition to prints using nontraditional methods, Yoon makes drawings, mixed-media works, and large-scale installations. Her work has been exhibited in South Korea, China, India, Poland, Germany, and Italy as well as domestically.
