Inspired by Sherrie Levine’s recontextualization of Russell Lee’s Farm Security Administration photographs, join educator and artist Tyanna Buie in creating prints that respond to issues and visual elements raised by Levine’s artwork. Examine themes of appropriation, authenticity, identity, and artistic dialogue while developing multi-layered screen print compositions. Final projects from the workshop may be selected for inclusion in a zine about the Levine installation.
