Go behind the portraits of contemporary and historical works with a tour led by Director of Exhibitions Graeme Reid. Rewind time to consider the medium and motives of portraits in MOWA’s permanent collection. Explore the works of Khari Turner who defines his portraiture with a collective ancestral mindset in his surreal Black portraits on view in the special exhibition Mirroring Reflection. Who composes portraits and why? Bring your reflections on ancestry and identity for an art-immersed discussion.
