Ho-Chunk brothers Sidney and William Hall will demonstrate the laborious but precise process of pounding an ash tree log into malleable strips for weaving. This demonstration will occur in the MOWA courtyard*. The Halls will explain preparation and dying techniques, harvesting methods, and the devastating effects of the emerald ash borer on trees across the Midwest.
