By any measure, Carl von Marr had a long and highly successful career as an artist. The prizes, awards, and exhibitions he attained were highly regarded. Less well-known is his connection with the many artists whose own creative journey took them through the classrooms of the Royal Academy in Munich. This talk by Senior Curator Graeme Reid will reveal some of the famous—and not so famous—pupils he taught and artists he knew.
