Reflecting on Ho-Chunk Craft: Curator Patricia Norby from The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Patricia Marroquin Norby, Ph.D. (P’ urhépecha), inaugural curator of Native American Art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, visits MOWA to speak about Weaving a Legacy: Ho-Chunk Black Ash Basketry. Norby will reflect on the exhibition and contextualize the local craft by discussing how she’s incorporated Wisconsin-based Ho-Chunk artists in previous exhibitions in New York.
