WEDNESDAY, MAY 17 | 10:00–11:30
Tour our newest exhibition! Working on the Bias: The Fine Art of Fiber

Join Associate Curator of Contemporary Art Anwar Floyd-Pruitt and Curatorial Engagement Fellow Brianna Cole as we explore our newest exhibition of the work of ten artists who recognize and celebrate fiber as fine art. Working on the Bias celebrates all the rebels, innovators, and troublemakers – past and present – who are using fiber to write the history of contemporary art, and we’ll get an up close and personal view of their efforts.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21 | 10:00–11:30
Sing along Wisconsin Conservatory of Music

We’re going to sing our hearts out around the beautiful grand piano in the Atrium of the Museum with John Bragle and Teresa Drews of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. Teresa will accompany us on the piano; John on the guitar, and we’ll provide the voices for the songs. We’re taking requests for favorite songs, so start making a list!

WEDNESDAY, JULY 19 | 10:00–11:30
Flower Power

MOWA’s Gardens will be in full bloom and we’ll use the glorious blossoms as inspiration for hammered-flower art. Choose leaves and flowers from a mixed bouquet and pound them with a hammer to create botanical still-life pictures. We’ll work outside in the Gardens if the weather is nice, and Maggie, our goldendoodle therapy dog friend, will join us too!
