Dean Meeker helped shape printmaking by moving serigraphy from the commercial realm to wider use as a fine art process. His larger-than-life characters drawn from literature, history, and mythology have been shown in exhibitions in New York at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art, and in Boston at the Museum of Fine Arts.
