Atrium
Gregory Klassen’s Retrospective Aggregate was created over eight years—inadvertently. Klassen discovered that the drips of paint from his brush created an accidental abstraction on his studio carpet, which he liked more than many of his intentional works. Hung on MOWA’s atrium wall, the carpet becomes an otherworldly tapestry, testifying that the end of the journey is sometimes unknown until the very end.
