About the Exhibition

October 1–January 8

Horicon Bank Gallery

Using a dry brush to dust thin layers of graphite onto paper, Melissa Cooke creates massive, glowing Photorealist drawings. She has focused on investigating the relationship between the self, photography, performance, and portrait drawing as a means to understand the various selves—or egos—she experiences and encounters.
