Selective breeding of both animals and plants has long been a part of farming. Printmaker S.V. Medaris explores the extremes of breeding through depictions of the farm dogs, hogs, and chickens on her farm near Mount Horeb. Amusing, surprising, and thought-provoking images are imbued with love and her desire to “show the amazing, truly fascinating lives of the animals we surround ourselves with.”
