Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County nominated the Museum of Wisconsin Art and its SPARK! program for the Judy Phillips Award and Creative Expression for Senior Citizens in helping make a difference in the lives of senior citizens in Washington County. Executive Director Laurie Winters and SPARK! program volunteer Kathryn Conrow oversaw the implementation of the SPARK! program in 2009. MOWA was one of ten founding organizations selected by the Ruth Bader Foundation in 2009 to provide cultural programming for people with memory loss and their care partners.
