Cartooning: Paul Noth

Ages 8–12

Unlock your inner cartoonist with Paul Noth, a celebrated cartoonist for The New Yorker. Through hands-on activities, students will learn how Noth generates ideas, embraces mistakes, and shares his humor with the world. Everyone will leave class with their own Bad Ideas Notebook, Noth’s favorite tool to unlock creativity.

Cyanotype: Studio 224

July 15 | 2:00–3:30

Ages 8–12

Explore the magic of cyanotype printing, a photographic process that creates bright blue images using light. Working alongside artists from Studio 224, an artist-in-residency program devoted to alternative photographic processes offered by Gallery 224, students will experiment with light, composition, and shadow while discovering how this historic technique blends art and science. Each student will take home a completed cyanotype print.

Animal Chalk: Carli Ihde

Ages 8–12 

Create colorful animal art in this chalk workshop led by award-winning chalk artist Carli Ihde. Using her signature rainbow technique, you’ll learn to layer vibrant hues and infuse your animal designs with bold, striking color.
