Artist Talk | Chad Alexander Matha
Join MOWA for an Artist Talk with Wisconsin-based artist Chad Alexander Matha at 6:00 at MOWA | DTN inside Saint Kate–The Arts Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. In this talk, Matha will discuss the making of “Everything to Build With”, an exhibition shaped by his years of collecting industrial materials and overlooked objects from thrift stores. These found items—plywood, bungee cords, buckets, and more—form a vast studio “catalog” that fuels his creative process. By combining these materials with craft-based practices such as knitting, sewing, and weaving, Matha constructs works that intertwine personal experiences with universal themes.
