Second Saturday is a lively monthly event that turns the entire museum into a destination for creative experiences. MOWA members can explore the museum, create with drop-in art making, participate in gallery activities, and more. Every month offers something new!
Second Saturday takes place the second Saturday of each month. Drop-in anytime 10:00–2:00.
Free for members. Join as a family for as low as $50 for an entire year
April 8 | Aspiring Architects
Gain inspiration from architects Jim Shields and Frank Lloyd Wright as you design, sketch, and build structures. Enjoy a birthday treat on us as we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the MOWA building.

Fun with Fiber Arts | May 13
Become a fiber artist as you discover new methods of weaving, sculpting, and repurposing textiles.
Meet and Make with Melissa Paré | June 10
Come together to make a new work of art for the museum. Exhibiting artist Melissa Paré will guide a collaborative silk painting activity inspired by her work in Working on the Bias: The Fine Art of Fiber. The final painting will be displayed in the museum’s Atrium in fall 2023.
Signs of Summer | July 8
Make art inspired by the season’s greatest pleasures. Participate in art-making activities such as cyanotype sun printing to enter to win a gift basket filled with art supplies for the outdoors.
