Second Saturday is a lively monthly event that turns the entire museum into a destination for creative experiences. Families can explore the museum and participate in drop-in art-making activities, live entertainment, gallery tours, and more. Every month offers something new! Second Saturday takes place on the second Saturday of each month, drop in 10:00–2:00. Free for Members. Second Saturday is sponsored by the Leola Culver Family Foundation.

April 11 | Pattern Play
Jump into the world of pattern while creating colorful abstract oil pastel drawings inspired by Taj Mutumbi and printing textiles inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Crafting Connection | May 9
Celebrate the many ways we build connection. Create a postcard to mail to a friend, make an award ribbon for someone special, and take part in collaborative artmaking.

People and Places | June 13
Seek inspiration from (insert landscape exhibition title here). Build miniature cities, paint landscapes, and design parks while imagining how people shape and connect with the land.

Textile Tales | July 11
Find inspiration in textile traditions and the stories that matter to us. Create a felt patch to honor a favorite place and design a quilt-inspired tapestry.

It’s never too early to foster creativity. Toddlers and caregivers explore art together in this monthly program. Each drop-in session is themed with new forms of art-making and self-guided gallery activities. Drop in 10:00–11:30. Recommended for children ages five and under. Free for Members.
